Without water, we and the planet as we know it would not exist. Human bodies are made up of around 60% water. Every plant, animal, and fungus relies on water to survive. We must care for, nurture, and steward this vital and essential resource.
The hydrological cycle governs the movement of moisture on our entire planet from oceans, lakes, rivers, rain mist, fog, dew, and more. It affects our food, agriculture, transportation, recreation, and weather. At the Outdoor Center we can witness biodiversity in the nearby wetlands and wildlife enjoying the ponds and streams nearby. From these wetlands and streams at Greylock Glen, water flows to the Hoosic River and eventually the Atlantic Ocean.
